Guests can be picked up from central Queenstown, by arrangement, so there's no argument over who's going to drive - you have to sample this amazing wine list, after all (it would be rude not to...) and, once you set foot inside Gantleys, you'll feel right at home. Guests are free to wander the lush gardens before settling down with an aperitif as they peruse the menu.
On the a la carte, it's a proper six course affair, as befits the best fine dining restaurants. The Crayfish Bisque kicks off the evening perfectly, and the Spicy Fig & Beetroot Tart is the perfect appetiser to prime you for the main event (and don't forget the palate-cleansing sorbet in between, of course....). Gantleys is renowned for its delectable, herb-encrusted Rack of Lamb - their most popular dish - but you'll have to wrestle over that decision when you see the Venison Fillet and Pan-Fried Veal staring back at you from the page...
The Degustation Menu allows you to taste a whole range of Gantleys' food (based on Chef's favourites), and wine accompaniments with each dish are optional. This is a great way to enjoy your first fine dining experience.
