Reaching exhilarating speeds on purpose built jet boats, your expert driver will twist and turn on the pristine waters of Matukituki Wanaka River, zooming past waterfalls, towering mountains and fascinating birdlife. Not only will you be whisked through some amazing World Heritage landscapes, but you'll also be treated to a wilderness walk into the Matukituki Valley - a wonderland carved by ice and used extensively in the filming of The Lord Of The Rings film trilogy.
As part of your trip, you'll embark on a remote walk through ancient beach forest with local guides, who will share inspirational stories of the land with a touch of humour. A highlight of the trip, this is an opportunity to experience the genuine New Zealand wilderness.
