Description
After checking in at the SkyTrek desk in central Queenstown, you will be transported by courtesy shuttle to Coronet Peak, a 20-minute drive from town to the end of the ski-field road. Your pilot will guide you to the chair-lift which takes you to the top of Coronet Peak. From there, a short walk in snow leads to the launch area where you will receive a safety briefing and instructions for the flight.
Harnesses and helmets will be fitted and checked before takeoff. Once ready, your pilot will inflate the glider behind you, then after a few steps together, you will take off. The pilot will navigate the paraglider over the ski-field, with a flight lasting approximately 15 to 20 minutes before gently landing in the valley below. Equipment is packed up and the ground crew will return you to Queenstown. The entire experience takes about 2 hours.
