U-Fly Scenic Flight Experience

U-Fly offers the chance to experience the stunning Wanaka scenery from the air and have a go at flying a plane.

Locally owned and operated U-Fly has a fleet of modern comfortable small aircraft which can seat up to 3 passengers. The team of instructors have years of experience so no prior experience is necessary.

Trial Flights

Trial flights guide you through everything from take-off to landing, allowing you the full experience in the safest hands.  There is no pressure as you learn the basic of flying a plane and you can take the controls as much or as little as you like. 

Lake Wanaka Trial Flight - 20 minutes 
Perfect for first-time flyers or, those with limited time. The flight takes in Lake Wanaka, the Clutha River and the surrounding mountains.  $338.  Take 2 friends for free.

River Valley Trial Flight - 30 minutes
This flight takes you over Lake Wanaka, the Wanaka township, and the stunning waters of Glendhu Bay.  $408.  Take 2 friends for free.

Glacier Ridge Trial Flight - 60 minutes  
The longest trial flight with over an hour of flying, covering 130kms over the heart of the Southern Alps.  Soar over Glendhu Bay, Rocky Mountain, and the spectacular ridgeline and ski fields of Treble Cone.  Enjoy epic views of glaciers and Mount Aspiring, where waterfalls cascade into valleys of untouched beauty.  $628.  Take 2 friends for free.

Flight Training

U-FLY offers trainee pilots the chance to learn to fly in Wanaka.  Expert instruction to guide you through your Private Pilot License (PPL) or Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) training.  U-FLY training courses include a combination of classroom-based theory sessions and flying sessions.
