Description
Glide over coastal fjords, glaciers, and endless mountain peaks on our signature Fiordland flight, departing from Queenstown. You'll soar above Ben Lomond, the Richardson Mountains, and the charming village of Glenorchy, reaching picturesque Lake Erskine before heading to the source of the mighty Sutherland Falls, fed by the impressive 580m-high Lake Quill waterfall.
Next, we sweep across the rugged West Coast towards the iconic Milford Sound and Mitre Peak, then fly straight to Mt Tutoko, Fiordland’s highest peak. The adventure continues with a landing at the breathtaking Earnslaw Burn, where hanging glaciers and cascading waterfalls surround you. Even in winter, this magical spot dazzles with fresh snow, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
Finally, we circle back over historic Skippers Canyon before returning to Queenstown. Note that during winter (June–August), waterfalls at Earnslaw Burn may be less active, but the glacier’s snow coverage and valley views remain stunning year-round. This flight truly captures the essence of Fiordland’s rugged beauty.
