Directions to Brodrick & Landsborough Wilderness Experience

An exhilarating 5-day trip into the Landsborough Valley. Rafting, walking, scenic flight, plus all meals, drinks, accommodation and equipment. One of the remotest places accessible to rafters.

This Brodrick & Landsborough Wilderness Experience with Queenstown Rafting is the ultimate trip for lovers of the outdoors. Here, you'll get access to some of the area's most remote landscape, as you explore some of NZ's most spectacular scenery. In parts tranquil, in other parts wet and wild, you'll find yourself paddling past hanging glaciers, impossibly high mountains, and through some lush, dense rainforest.

On Day 1, you'll be driven up to your start point in the Hopkins Valley. A gentle 3-hour tramp to a break is followed by a climb up through the Huxley Valley to your camp at Brodrick Hut. Day 2, it's more climbing, 1,400ft to the awesome Brodrick Pass, your overnight destination. The views up here are spectacular, so sit back with a beer and just drink it all in. Day 3, you'll descend back down to the Landsborough River, where you'll be picked up by helicopter to enjoy an amazing ride over to the Queenstown Rafting Landsborough Camp, where a four-course meal awaits.

After a good night's sleep, you'll wake up impatient to get going on the wild rapids awaiting you on the Landsborough River. This five-hour rafting trip encompasses everything from calm, tranquil waters to fast rapids, and after lunch, you'll continue downstream to your next camp, where you'll have some 'me time' to maybe go for a ramble or try some fishing, and dinner will be waiting for you when you come back. Next day, you'll paddle down to Purple Creek for lunch, before carrying on to Clarke Bluff, where the bus will be waiting to take you back to Queenstown.

Price includes all transfers, wetsuits and equipment, meals, drinks, accommodation and a scenic flight.
