Deer Park Heights is a scenic drive and animal encounter through a working deer farm, 550 meters above Queenstown.
The scenic experience provides views of the Whakatipu basin, LOTR movie sets, and gorgeous animals you can feed and see. Deer park heights originally opened in 1966 with plenty of history and sights to offer. Stroll walkways or picnic at impressive alpine tarns at the top of the hill, enjoy this historic location at your own pace.
Deer Park Heights offers access to passenger vehicles up to 8 seats to explore the property from the comfort of your own. Pack a picnic lunch and camera, or put on your walking boots for a mountain stroll at dedicated walking spots.
Bookings:
The cost of entry is $55 per vehicle and valid for single use during daylight hours. When you book online you will receive an access code to enter at the toll gate. Access is limited to passenger vehicles only with no biking, walking, or pets allowed on the property.
Please bring a NZ $2 coin to get sheep pellets to feed the animals.
