Ziptrek Ecotours is New Zealand's number one ziplining guided tour featuring the steepest tree to tree zipline in the world.

This is a fully guided tour. You will be well looked after by two experienced guides that manage all aspects of safety and help with your launch and arrival at each tree deck. Everything is taken care of, so you can sit back, relax and enjoy the ride

With a rare emphasis on sustainability as well as adventure, Ziptrek offers fascination and exhilaration in equal measure. You will be ziplining through ancient native Beech forest with a backdrop of mountain peaks and the awe-inspiring Lake Wakatipu.

The resources Ziptrek relies on are sustainable and no engine noise is produced on the tour, meaning that all you will hear as you zip through the trees is your own 'whoops' of enjoyment. Ziptrek has been awarded Enviro-Gold Status from New Zealand's tourism quality watchdog, Qualmark.

The Moa 4-Line Tour

Your experienced guides will give you interpretative and interactive tours whilst also ensuring that you get a taste of adventure as they assist your launch from each treehouse platform. 

This tour is designed to start slow and gradually increase in adrenaline to help build your confidence. It is well-suited to those who have never ziplined before as well as families and groups.  The Moa Tour starts and ends at the Treehouse at the top of the gondola.

The Kea 6 Line-Tour 

Taking the adrenaline level up a notch, the Kea features the world's steepest tree to tree zipline and is faster and longer than the Moa. You will fly down the hill for about one kilometre - the equivalent length of ten rugby pitches at speeds of up to 70kph!

This option is perfect for mixing it up with more exciting ways of zipping. You might want to dangle upside down for a different perspective. The Kea also includes a 20 minute guided walk through the native beech forest on the local Tiki Trail and ends at the base of the gondola.  The Kea tour has a minimum weight of 30kg/66lbs.

Kererū  2 Line + Drop

Find your wings and fly through the treetops on two breathtaking ziplines before finishing with a swooping 21 metre drop, leaving you a fledgling no more!  Discover the story of Zealandia and Ziptrek's preservation of our natural landscape whilst we do our bit to protect our native wildlife!  The Kererū Tour starts and ends at the Treehouse at the top of the gondola.
