Directions to Wooing Tree Vineyard

Award winning Wooing Tree is a family owned single vineyard site in the town of Cromwell and opposite the Big Fruit Sculpture in Central Otago.

Wooing Tree specialises in Pinot Noir, Rosé, Blondie (made from Pinot Noir) and Chardonnay. The Wooing Tree, a local landmark, sits prominently in the middle of the vineyard. The tree has long been a popular place for locals to woo their lovers and has become the site of many marriage proposals!

The Wooing Tree Vineyard was set up in 2001 by Stephen Farquharson and his wife, Thea, in partnership with his sister and brother-in-law, Jane and Geoff Bews. The winery is particularly noted for its delicious Award Winning Pinot Noir. Visitors can enjoy lunches indoors, or al fresco on the beautiful decking and lawns.

The Cellar Door offers a relaxed child friendly environment with sand pit and slide. The Wooing Tree is open for wine tasting, sales, lunches, functions and weddings, or just visit the famous Wooing Tree.
