Terminal velocity for 60 seconds at 200kph from 15,000ft - it's the ultimate adrenalin rush. Keep your eyes open for spectacular views of the Remarkables Mountain Range and surrounding area.
NZONE Skydive is based in the heart of the 'Adventure Capital of the World'. Meeting at HQ in central Queenstown, you'll be able to choose your photo and video options before being shuttled out to the Dropzone at NZONE's private airstrip. This is where you'll receive full safety training and instruction, refresh yourselves with drinks and snacks and be able to watch other skydivers taking off and coming in to land, their parachutes dropping them gently into the soft, rural fields below.
Meet and greet your fully-qualified and vastly-experienced Tandem Master, who'll put you straight at ease, so much so that you'll want to get up into the sky as soon as possible. When you're ready, you'll hop into the plane and soar to altitude above the beautiful Wakatipu Basin with the surrounding lakes and mountains a perfect backdrop to your adventure.
Then it's time for the big jump. In the safe and secure company of your Tandem Master, you'll leap from up to 15,000ft and freefall for between 25 and 60 seconds, experiencing a rush like no other, as you reach speeds of 200kph - that's terminal velocity, and you just can't go any faster. Your parachute will then billow open and give you a gentle, serene ride back to earth, with at least five minutes 'flying time' to make sure you get the most of those amazing sights around you. Once you're back in the Dropzone building, you'll be able to buy souvenirs of your day from the on-site gift shop.
All equipment is provided, but you have to bring your own stomach of steel. Adventures last around 3.5 hours from start to finish, so do put aside at least half day for your experience.
NZONE Skydive started operation in 1990 as New Zealand's first tandem skydive operation. You're in safe hands with their team of highly-trained and certified jumpmasters.
