With your abilities considered. We will set your foundations strong at the start and guide you through some of the most epic terrain in the Queenstown bike park. Here's what you will learn: - Braking Techniques: Proper braking is essential for safety and control. Riders will learn how to modulate their brakes, use both front and rear brakes effectively, and manage speed on descents without skidding or losing control. - Body Positions: Body position plays a significant role in balance and control while riding. Riders will be taught how to use their body weight to maintain balance, navigate obstacles, and control the bike through turns and on rougher terrain. - Terrain Analysis: Understanding the different types of terrain and how to approach them is essential. Participants will learn how to assess trail conditions, choose the best line, and adapt their riding style to various terrains such as rocky sections, roots, mud, and steeper gradients. We'll add these skills to to your riding and help you navigate through the large variety of trails available to ride in the bike park.
IncludesHere's what's included. We'll pick up your rental bikes (if included) and set them up according to the height and weight from the booking form, this makes a huge difference to your ride experience so we love to sweat that detail. We'll ensure any protective gear you hire would be the right fit for you. All your passes (included in price) will be collected along with any rentals so all you have to do is show up and ride. We do offer a courtesy shuttle in a 20km radius in the Queenstown area.
- - Please bring snacks and drinking water for the ride. - Lunch isn't provided but we may stop for food if the group wishes. - Please carry sunscreen and or any medications you may need. - Relative fitness for 3 hours of downhill riding (It is lift accessed but there's some pedaling required to get to the trail head)
