Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat
Camp Glenorchy opened in March 2018 and has been created from using green design philosophies. It's the first ever guest accommodation designed according to the Living Building Challenge - the most rigorous sustainability standards in the world. All profits from Camp Glenorchy benefit the Glenorchy Community Trust, directed by local community members. The mission and vision of the community trust is to increase the vibrancy and resilience of the community of Glenorchy.
At the heart of the venue is the Homestead building, the perfect place to get to socialise. Relax in the Greenstone Lounge, or take in the stunning views and artworks found everywhere. Head outdoors to discover the Scheelite Campfire Shelter, gardens and mountain vistas, enjoyed by groups all times of the year.
With plenty of outdoor space, the team can easily provide a marquee to increase the overall size of the venue, and with in-house chefs, varied catering needs and budget can be provided for.
Camp Glenorchy's facilities include a large meeting room or reception area, which can be split in two, and plenty of break-out spaces, all configurable for meetings, break-outs, private dining and more. Each space comes equipped and includes free WIFI, state-of-the-art AV and seating options to suit any gathering.
TIME Magazine has named Camp Glenorchy Eco Retreat in the World’s 100 Greatest Places of 2019
