The rooms are simple, cosy and a little moody.  You will find commissioned local artwork and wall hangings, monogrammed blankets woven from fine New Zealand wools, recycled kilim rugs fashioned into cushions and natural wall-linings made from carbon negative cork.  In the bathrooms, the hotel's own natural shampoos and body wash are created with the local scents of manuka honey and myrtle.  

The facilities include a swimming pool along with a spa and sauna.  For those looking to fully unwind, Sherwood offers various massages to relieve and revive the body and soul using natural and organic oils largely sourced from New Zealand. Yoga classes are also offered.
