Description
The Kawarau Zipride offers a fast and enjoyable zipline experience in one of New Zealand’s most iconic adventure settings. Riders can choose to travel alone or side-by-side with a friend using a seated harness for comfort.
You descend through the Kawarau Gorge while taking in the surrounding scenery. At the end of the ride, you are winched back to the top automatically, with no experience necessary and minimal fear factor. This activity is suitable for visitors of all ages and fitness levels.
The Zipride is located at the Kawarau Bungy Centre.

Important Information
- Minimum age: 8 years old. Children aged 8 and 9 must ride tandem with an adult (20+ years).
- Children 14 and under require adult consent at check-in.
- Weight limits: 30kg minimum to 150kg maximum for solo or tandem rides.
- Duration: Self-drive option approximately 1 hour; Bungy Bus option approximately 2.5 hours.
- Free transport is available from the Queenstown Bungy Centre, located inside The Station Building at the corner of Shotover Street and Camp Street.
Cancellation Policy
You may cancel up to 24 hours before your scheduled ride for a full refund.
Book in advance to secure your spot. Wear comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes. The best time to visit is during daylight hours for optimal views and safety.
