Get a real taste for Central Otago wines on this fun and interactive afternoon tour. Let one of our experienced Wine Guides whisk you away to Queenstown’s neighbouring wine region, Gibbston, aptly known as the “Valley of the Vines”. Spend the afternoon visiting three perfectly selected vineyards including a guided tour through New Zealand’s largest underground wine cave at Gibbston Valley Winery. Sample an array of fine wines and varietals on offer and enjoy a shared cheeseboard which accompanies one of the wine tastings. Enjoy a full running commentary from your passionate and enthusiastic Wine Guide. Learn about this pioneering wine region and its evolution from just a couple of rows of vines into a world-renowned Pinot Noir producer. Please note children aged 6 – 17 years are welcome on our daily Boutique Wine Tour. Unfortunately children under 17 years are not allowed inside the Gibbston Valley wine cave. This means that they can only join our Gourmet Food and Wine Tour or Classic Wine Tour if they are able to sit with the guide in the Gibbston Valley Winery cellar door unaccompanied by their parents/caregivers while they take part in the cave tour (approximately 30-45 minutes). Children of all ages are welcome on our private tours but the same rules apply if parents/caregivers wish to experience the cave tour at Gibbston Valley Winery. Alternatively, we can arrange a tasting in the cellar door, or swap the Gibbston Valley Winery altogether for a different vineyard on request. Spend your morning with optional activities such as zip lining, golfing or boat tours, before you meet your guide at 1:30 PM to start your wine tour.

Transport Full commentary by knowledgeable wine guide All tastings A cheeseboard to accompany one of the wine tastings If option selected: zip line, golf, jet boat tour or TSS Earnslaw cruise
