From Queenstown: Doubtful Sound Wilderness Day Trip
269 ReviewsExplore Doubtful Sound in Fiordland National Park on a day trip. Cruise across Lake Manapouri, coach over the breathtaking Wilmot Pass, and discover Doubtful Sound on a 3-hour cruise.
Set on the peninsular that juts out into the blue-green Lake Wakatipu, Queenstown Golf Club gives the player the feeling that they are golfing on an island.
Towering above the course providing a dramatic backdrop are the Remarkables mountains and Cecil Peak. The course is 18 hole par 72.
The Clubhouse facilities incorporate a cafe and bar and open 7 days a week, offering amazing views of the Remarkables, Lake Wakatipu and Queenstown. There is also a 'warm up range' for irons only.
There are various ways to get to the course. If driving, take the State Highway 6, turn off at Kelvin Heights and drive to the end of Peninsular Road. There are also taxis and public buses, or for a more exciting and overall authentic Queenstown experience, take a water taxi from Queenstown Bay.
Visitors are welcome 7 days a week, reservations are recommended.
