Description
Take off to enjoy a bird’s-eye view of dramatic landscapes inspired by “Lord of the Rings.” The flight covers rugged peaks and glacial valleys along the Southern Alps spine, including the start of the Shotover River.
Experience a high-altitude landing on one of nearly 300 glaciers in the region. Landings are made on either the Isobel or Tyndall glacier, both providing unique mountain views.
During the 10-minute stop, you can breathe the crisp mountain air, take photos, and enjoy snow activities like a snowball fight or making a snow angel. Pilots are available to take pictures for you.
Flight paths and landing sites are determined by the pilot based on weather and conditions on the day.
