Description
Proudly the world's original Canyon Swing, locally built, owned and operated since 2002. Shotover Canyon Swing is known for personalised experiences, the exceptional bunch of jump masters, and being the only swing in the world where you can choose to be released or jump from the same platform.
Your Jump Master will collect you from our Queenstown booking office for a 15-minute 4WD drive to the canyon, followed by a short walk to the platform. Anticipation builds whilst perched 109m high above the spectacular Shotover River and you decide how to leave the platform.
Take the leap or be released, no other Swing gives you this freedom. Freefall 60 metres, rushing past the rocky cliff face so close you'll think you could touch it. The freefall lasts just a bit longer than you think it should. Then it's a super smooth transition into the 200m swing, and it's smiles from ear to ear.
Go solo or tandem and choose from a huge list of jump styles, including Forwards, Backwards, Chop and Drop and the Chair. There's something for everyone, from the mildly nervous to the wildly unhinged. Allow 2.5 hours for the round trip.

Important Information
- Minimum age: 10 years old
Participant must safely fit the safety harness provided
Maximum combined Tandem Weight limit: 210kg
- Operates in all weather conditions. Please dress appropriately and wear comfortable closed-toe shoes.
- Mandatory shuttle from central Queenstown, departing from the Shotover Canyon Swing Shop (34 Shotover Street). Please check in 15 minutes before trip time. Arthurs Point pickup is available if pre-arranged before the day of your trip, contact the reservations team to arrange.
- Parental/guardian consent required for participants 16 years and under. Children 15 & under must have a parent or guardian sign their waiver form. Children 13 & under must be accompanied by an adult.
- Individuals who are pregnant are ineligible to participate due to safety restrictions.
