Your journey begins with a 45 minute cruise across Lake Whakatipu aboard the vintage 1912 Steamship TSS Earnslaw, a Queenstown landmark. Upon arrival, a rural host will welcome you and guide you through the Restaurant Garden, showcasing native plants and fresh produce harvested on site.
You will participate in Walter Peak’s land restoration project by planting a native tree or shrub. Learn about the removal of invasive wilding pines and the ecological benefits of reintroducing native species to support birdlife and natural habitats.
The experience concludes with a generous lunch featuring garden platters made from ingredients grown in the kitchen garden, accompanied by home-baked breads.
