Cross a safe swing bridge over the Routeburn River, gradually ascending towards snow-capped peaks. Along the way, enjoy expansive views of mountain ranges and valleys while spotting native wildlife. Your knowledgeable guide will provide commentary on the flora, fauna, and historical significance of the area.
The full-day option includes a picnic lunch of sandwich, fruit, slice, water, and trail mix, aiming to reach Falls Hut after approximately seven hours of walking. The group stays together for safety, but private pacing is possible if no other guests join. After the hike, return to Queenstown by vehicle.
The half-day hike offers a relaxed 1.5-hour nature walk suitable for families or those preferring an easy pace. Light snacks and water are included.
