Description
Join a fully guided day tour from Queenstown to Milford Sound, a key attraction in Fiordland. The drive features Lake Wakatipu, the Devil’s Staircase, Fiordland’s towering mountains, Mirror Lake, and the Homer Tunnel. Multiple stops allow for photo opportunities and spotting the native Kea bird.
Travel through the Homer Tunnel, then descend into Milford Sound with hundreds of waterfalls flowing into clear waters. The cruise uses smaller boats to provide close encounters with nature and wildlife, including views of waterfalls and Mitre Peak.
After the cruise, return to Queenstown with a stop in Te Anau for a break. You can upgrade to a scenic one-way flight back to Queenstown for aerial views of the mountain region.
Between July 27 and October 31, there are two departure times from Queenstown. The 6:30am departure includes a cruise with Cruise Milford, and the 7:30am departure includes a cruise with Mitre Peak Cruises. Both operators offer boutique experiences with fewer passengers.
