Description
Raft an 8-kilometer section of the Kawarau River, known as the River Anduin in Lord of the Rings. This trip offers a mix of grade 2-3 rapids and occasional grade 2-4 rapids during higher water levels, balanced by calm sections ideal for enjoying the river or swimming.
Participants can race others on the river or try optional cliff jumping, depending on weather conditions. The trip finishes by running the 400-meter Dog Leg rapid, the longest commercially rafted rapid in New Zealand.
A free shuttle from Queenstown’s town center delivers you to the rafting base where you will be equipped with all necessary gear.
