The ride begins following the Arrow River Trail downstream to Morven Ferry, crossing several notable bridges. Then continue on the Twin Rivers Trail alongside the Kawarau and Shotover rivers to Lake Whakatipu’s edge. This section features views of The Remarkables and the historic Old Shotover Bridge, which overlooks two ski areas.

The route spans rural gravel trails graded 2 or 3, covering 35 km with some hills. Take snacks or a packed lunch to enjoy along the way. The last part of the ride is a gentle trail by the lake, passing cafes and a brewery before finishing in central Queenstown.
