Description
Begin your adventure with a pickup from your hotel or campground in Central Queenstown or Frankton Road. If your accommodation is outside this area, a convenient meeting point will be arranged.
Arrive at the launch site, just a 15-minute drive from downtown Queenstown, and receive a safety briefing. Watch as the balloon is inflated, then climb aboard for a 1-hour flight at dawn, when the air is cool and calm.
Rise to altitudes as high as 6,000 feet and drift with the breeze. Enjoy panoramic views of Queenstown and its surrounds, including 'The Hobbit' filming locations, the Southern Alps, Lake Wakatipu, The Remarkables mountain range, and New Zealand’s finest golf courses.
After the flight, help pack away the balloon and enjoy a celebratory breakfast with a glass of bubbles and pastries in the field. Finally, be transported back to your pickup point.
