Description
Soar from Queenstown over the majestic Tutoko Glacier and stunning Southern New Zealand landscapes, including Skippers Canyon, the Paradise region (famous for Lord of the Rings and Hobbit filming locations) and the Donne Glacier.
Our modern Cessna aircraft feature a 1-2 seating layout, designed for both comfort and spectacular viewing. In winter, our aircraft are pre-heated before take-off for maximum comfort.
Three of the twelve seats are positioned in the middle of the cabin, these offer the added benefit for some guests of views out of both sides of the aircraft and many guests appreciate the middle seat for the opportunity to sit alongside family or friends.
Before departure, enjoy a personal preflight session with your knowledgeable local pilot to explore the flight map, route, and scenic highlights.
During the trip, our pilots share captivating stories about Fiordland’s rugged beauty and rich history. Guests can also download a GPS-triggered audio commentary app to guide them through both flight and cruise.
Enjoy breathtaking bird’s-eye views of the Southern Lakes and Milford Sound as you fly the full length of the fiord before landing beneath the awe-inspiring Mitre Peak, towering 1,692 meters (5,551 feet) from the water’s edge.
Once there, embark on a small boat guided nature cruise lasting 1 hour 45 minutes. This is a more personalised experience than some of the other cruising boats in Milford.
Keep an eye out for wildlife including fur seals, dolphins, and, if you’re lucky, rare Fiordland crested penguins.
Feel the full force of famous Stirling Falls as you get up close to this spectacular geological wonder.
Join the skipper on the bridge to learn how the boat operates while soaking in the grandeur of cliffs rising hundreds of metres and the surrounding native beech forest.
Your return flight to Queenstown follows a different scenic flight path, revealing more of this region's remote alpine lakes and the breathtaking 580-metre (1,900-foot) Sutherland Falls.
Fly with confidence on this trusted family-owned airline backed by over 50 years of combined pilot experience and a flawless safety record.
