Description
Discover Central Otago’s world-class wines on a tour led by an experienced wine guide. Visit four select vineyards in Bannockburn and Gibbston Valley, tasting a range of fine wines and enjoying a gourmet platter-style lunch at Carrick Winery overlooking Bannockburn Inlet of Lake Dunstan. The group size is limited to 12 adults, ensuring a relaxed pace with time to learn about early regional history and wine appreciation.
Central Otago is known for its pioneering history, rugged scenery, and exceptional stone fruits. The region is especially famous for Pinot Noir, but also produces excellent Pinot Gris, Riesling, Chardonnay, and Sauvignon Blanc varieties. The tour departs Queenstown at 11:00, traveling through the Kawarau Gorge en route to the vineyards. Optional upgrades include a jet boat ride or 9 holes of golf before the wine tour.
