50年前に構想されたNational Toy and Transport Museumは、1人の男性の夢からワナカの主要な人気スポットへと発展してきました。

50年以上前、専門の車両およびトラックの解体業者であるジェラルド・ローズが、象徴的でノスタルジックな乗り物やおもちゃを紹介する博物館を作ることを決意しました。彼の職業のおかげで、彼はクラシックな自動車にアクセスする機会があり、彼のコレクションが始まりました。

美しく修復された車両の中には、自動車、オートバイ、消防車、蒸気動力車などがあります。博物館にはおもちゃも展示されており、数十年にわたり製造された500以上のバービー人形があり、様々なアクセサリーや衣類が揃っています。

博物館には現在50,000以上のアイテムが収蔵されており、コレクションは常に増え続けています。訪問者は新たな展示物がどんなものかを見るために何度も戻ってきます。

博物館には、子供たちが楽しめる広々とした屋外スペースもあり、遊び場やペダルおもちゃがあります。ピクニックテーブルもあり、来場者は敷地内で昼食を楽しむように促されています。

月曜日から日曜日（クリスマスを除く）: 8時30分 - 17時

料金:

大人: $19.00, シニア: $16, 子供 (学齢): $5.00, ファミリー: $45.00, 子供 (5歳未満): 無料
