Situated in the wine valley of Gibbston, Cargo at Waitiri offers a restaurant, tasting room and beer garden from the site of a restored and historic church built in 1894.

Guests can enjoy a tasting experience for Cargo beer, local wine and the food from the talented kitchen team.  Tasting boards of the beer and wine are a handy way to sample what's on offer while the tasting platters from the kitchen are designed to complement your drinks.

The garden setting provides a fun, family friendly destination with beach volleyball, cricket, football, croquet, badminton and even a trampolining area.

Events & Functions:

• The Church holds up to 45 people for a seated meal. With its original woodwork, windows and church pews it offers a special setting for a range of functions.
• The East Lawn is nestled below the vineyard, providing a flat area with lush, green grass.  It can be set up with games and entertainment such as croquet, pétanque and badminton.
• The Brewery Garden is located in front of the container brewery with a stretch marquee covering the deck and grass.  It's an ideal space if you want to include a brewing aspect to your function such as a beer tasting or brewing demonstration.
