River Surfing is an exhilarating trip operating on the Kawarau River and best suited for people who want the full white water experience.
The bodyboards are light and highly manoeuvrable, allowing you to be more active in the water. It’s the perfect choice for someone looking for the ultimate adventure.
Conquer grade 2-3/4 rapids on a bodyboard. Optimize the rush by surfing waves, spinning in whirlpools, playing on eddy lines, and riding underwater currents. This high volume river is rocking with adrenaline!
Fully qualified and experienced guides will train and lead you throughout half day trips in small personalized groups.
Pricing:
- Adults: $255 / Children: $235 per person
- Family: $880 (2 adults and 2 children)
- Minimum age is 8 but you must contact the team first for prior arrangement for 8 to 12 year olds.
- Operates from September to May
Departures:
Transport is provided from Queenstown CBD. Or, self-drive to base.
Need To Know:
- Duration - About 4.5 hours with up to 2 hours in the river.
- Supplied - 5mm full steam wetsuit, booties, life jacket, helmet, fins and board.
- Please bring - Swimwear and towel, plus a sense of adventure!
