Description

Ride by e-bike to the top of Grant Peak, 800 meters above sea level overlooking just about all of the Wakatipu Basin. Benefit from this exclusive location and access to the private land, which makes this trail uniquely available with this tour. See the top mountains of the Otago area: The Remarkables (Kawarau), Cecil (Kamo) & Walter (KamoKamo) Peaks, Ben Lomond, Coronet Peak, The Crown Range, Mt Rosa. The Lake Hayes, Lake Johnson, Shotover and Kawarau Rivers, and the famous Wakatipu Lake. Take in all of these natural treasures within a 360-degree view. Learn about the local European history and gold mining time along with Maori legends about the Wakatipu basin and the Pounamu.

Important Information

  • Solo riders are welcome to send a request about the availability. All riders should feel confident on a bike and have experience on a gravel not paved road. The trail runs gradual uphill and gradual downhill partly on a gravel road and uneven farm land (no jumps, no sharp turns).
