The 12 stylish suites plus the stunning 4 bedroom 'Owners Cottage' can accommodate a maximum of 32 guests.  There is a choice of dining spots from the main lodge dining room to the cosy upstairs library, or in summer, The Remarkables Terrace with outdoor fireplace and incredible views of the lake and The Remarkables and Cecil Peaks mountain ranges. 

Matakauri lodge also offers a Day Spa, a state of the art fitness center, sauna and an outdoor infinity pool, again all with ultra- spectacular views

Events & Weddings:

Enjoy the mountain panorama and its imposing backdrop for your special day.   Dining options within the lodge include the Lodge Library, (for four), Main Dining Room (12), Lower Lounge (20), Upper Lounge (20), Owner’s Cottage (12), Remarkables Terrace (60).    

For corporate events there is a collection of meeting and dining options within the main lodge where guests can also enjoy gourmet food and great wine, whether it’s a degustation menu or simply something light and fun.
